Cleveland Clinic Foundation

Technical Assurance was engaged by the Cleveland Clinic’s architect to provide specialty waterproofing design services for the new Heart Center. The campus of the Cleveland Clinic site is known for high water table levels. Many of their buildings' and garages’ foundation or basement systems leak severely. Technical Assurance was called in to provide expert waterproofing design and quality observation services. Technical Assurance prepared foundation and below grade wall waterproofing design documents.

We were engaged directly by the Cleveland Clinic for construction phase waterproofing system installation quality observation and material application testing services. Considering the critical nature of the high water table and historically leaking buildings and garages, Technical Assurance served as the Clinic’s full time waterproofing system quality observer. Our field technicians observed the waterproofing installation on a daily basis, and performed substrate moisture tests, membrane adhesion tests, and other tests applicable to the project.
